Walther Bayer Faber Patent Attorneys PartGmbB is a long-established and time-honoured patent law firm with nearly 120 years of experience in industrial property rights (patents, trade marks, designs). The firm was founded back in 1903 by Mr Rolf HEDDERICH, Dipl. Ing., then an examiner at the Emperor's Patent Office.
The firm was passed down through the generations until it was taken over in 1955 by Mr Horst WALTHER, Dipl.-Ing.. In 1988, Mr Robert WALTHER, Dipl.-Ing., joined the firm as a partner. From 1996 to 2016, the firm was managed by partners Robert WALTHER and Claus-Dieter HINZ, with offices in Kassel and Bonn. In 2016, Dr BAYER joined the firm as a partner, with the addition of the Düsseldorf office, and continued to run it together with Claus-Dieter HINZ under the name Walther Hinz Bayer Patentanwälte. From the start of 2022, the firm will continue under the partnership of Dr BAYER and Dr FABER, LL.M., with patent attorney WALTHER having retired and patent attorney HINZ having stepped down from the partnership.
Over the years, the firm has acquired numerous new clients in the fields of mechanical engineering, vehicle manufacturing, medical technology, production technology, measurement and control technology, as well as plastics technology, fire protection technology and building materials
technology.
Our client base is primarily from North Hesse, the Ruhr region and the Rhineland. We represent our clients before the German and European Patent Offices, as well as before foreign patent offices.
We protect your ideas as patents, utility models, trade marks and designs. In addition, we draft contracts, such as licence agreements, arrange for translations and carry out prior art searches..
